The content of this document is inspired in part by Plausible's terms of service.

When we say "company", "we", "our", "us", "service", or "services" in this document, we are referring to Typebot.

We may update these Terms of Service in the future. Whenever we make a significant change, we will also announce it on our blog.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not use the service. Violation of any of the terms below may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

We know using Typebot requires trust. We work to deserve that trust by being transparent, keeping security standards high, and listening to feedback.

Account terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Typebot cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to do so.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by other users invited to your workspace.

You may not use the service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

You must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or other automated methods are not permitted.

Your content

You are solely responsible for any content and other material that you submit, publish, transmit, email, or display on, through, or with the service.

We claim no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the service. Your chatbots and the data collected through them remain yours.

You retain ownership of your chatbots and collected data. By using the service, you grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process, transmit, back up, and display your chatbots and related data for the purpose of providing the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your chatbots comply with applicable laws, including privacy and data protection laws, and for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required for the data you collect through them.

Typebot prohibits content and activities that:

  • engage in or promote fraudulent schemes, scams, or deceptive practices designed to obtain assets or sensitive information from others;
  • attempt to acquire sensitive information through phishing or by impersonating trustworthy entities;
  • involve sexual exploitation, abuse, or illegal sexual content of any kind;
  • infringe others' intellectual property rights, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, or trade secrets; or
  • share or distribute personal or confidential information without proper authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms. If you find a bot that violates these terms, you can report it here.

Payment terms

Your subscription is billed monthly based on your usage. The billing amount is automatically adjusted according to the number of chats you collect through your chatbots. You can view our current pricing tiers here.

When you exceed your current tier's chat limit, your subscription will automatically upgrade to the next appropriate tier in the following billing cycle.

Payment is processed automatically using the payment method you provided. If a payment fails, we may retry payment over the following days. After multiple failed attempts, access to paid features may be restricted until payment is resolved.

You can upgrade or downgrade at any time within your account settings.

Refund policy

We offer a 14-day refund period from your first payment. If you are not satisfied during this period, we will provide a full refund. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 14 days of your initial payment.

Refunds are only available for first-time payments to new accounts. Subsequent renewals, upgrades, or additional purchases are not eligible for refunds under this policy, but you can cancel at any time to avoid future charges.

Cancellation and termination

You are solely responsible for properly canceling your account. An email requesting cancellation is not considered cancellation. You can find instructions here.

If you cancel the service before the end of your current paid period, your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will not be charged again. Your typebots and collected answers will remain accessible under the limits of the applicable plan.

You may request deletion of your account at any time. We will delete or anonymize active account data within 30 days of your request unless retention is required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, or dispute resolution. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period consistent with our backup retention cycle.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay fees, or engage in harmful behavior. Termination may result in deactivation or deletion of your account and access to the service.

Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse, including threats of abuse or retribution, of any customer, employee, or officer may result in immediate account termination.

Modifications to the service and prices

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the service.

We may change pricing from time to time. If we change pricing for existing customers, we will give at least 30 days' notice using the email address associated with the account.

Typebot shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

You may provide us with feedback, suggestions, and ideas about the service. You agree that we may use and incorporate that feedback without payment or attribution.

You must not modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with Typebot. The Typebot logo and any product or service name or slogan displayed on the service are trademarks of the company and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without prior written permission.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the service, use of the service, or access to the service without our express written permission.

Privacy and security of your data

We take measures to protect customer data through backups, redundancy, encryption, monitoring, and access controls. We collect and process personal data as described in our privacy policy.

Typebot is ISO/IEC 27001 certified.

You remain responsible for the lawfulness of the personal data you collect through your chatbots and for publishing any privacy notice required for your end-users.

Depending on the context, Typebot may process personal data both:

  • as a controller, for example for account management, billing, support, security, and product analytics; and
  • as a processor on your behalf when you use the service to collect and manage data submitted through your chatbots.

When we act as a processor on your behalf, we process that data only to provide the service and in accordance with the applicable contract and data processing terms.

We do not sell customer data or use chatbot submissions for advertising.

Authorized personnel may access customer data only when necessary to provide support you request, maintain the service, investigate abuse, or protect the security and integrity of the platform.

We use third-party service providers for infrastructure, storage, payment processing, analytics, monitoring, and related technology required to run the service. The current list of authorised sub-processors is available at https://compliance.typebot.io/subprocessors.

Each party agrees to handle the other party's data in accordance with applicable laws and with privacy and security measures reasonably appropriate to preserve confidentiality and security.

Liability

Your use of Typebot is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We take uptime seriously, and you can check our service status at status.typebot.io.

We test our features extensively before shipping them, but no software is completely error-free. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free services.

Changes to terms

We may modify these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
