How do I enable the reply option in WhatsApp?
To enable auto-replies in WhatsApp Business:
- Open the WhatsApp Business App
- Tap More options (⋮) > Business tools
- Select Away message or Greeting message
- Toggle the switch on
- Tap the message text to edit it
- Choose your recipients (all customers, everyone not in your address book, or everyone except selected contacts)
- For away messages, set your business hours schedule
For true automated replies with conditional logic—such as different responses based on what the customer says—connect your WhatsApp Business API to a chatbot builder like Typebot.
